Lexi and I agree that this is not the Florida beach at Jeanne and Pops' place in Naples.
Still, a beach is a beach. We bravely waded into the brisk water and winced at the occasional sharp rock at Sandy Neck Beach near Sandwich on Cape Cod. The warmth of the tidal pools was luxurious by contrast, and the kids found some truly awesome rocks.
This was not the crowded craziness for which Cape Cod is sometimes known. In fact, this beach is a nature preserve for the Piping Plover. As we looked overhead for the swooping wings of the Plover, Scott informed us that we were contributing to the plight of a mollusk, not a bird. Not the most educated of naturalists, are we?
